Meet Shaina Newsome,
M.A., LMFT-Associate
San Antonio TherapistÂ
Supervised by John Lloyd, PhD., LMFT-S
I believe the struggles you’re experiencing—whether anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship challenges, or life transitions—often make more sense when we look at them in the context of your story. Your experiences, relationships, and environment can all shape the patterns you find yourself in. Understanding those patterns can be the first step toward creating meaningful change.

You aren’t broken. You’re navigating the complexities of being human.

Therapy is a collaborative space where you can slow down, breathe, and take a closer look at what’s happening beneath the surface. Together, we’ll explore the thoughts, feelings, relationships, and patterns that may be affecting your life, while building greater clarity and self-understanding.
Â
My approach is warm, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, or a major life transition, our work will be shaped around your unique needs and goals.

My hope is that therapy becomes a space where you feel truly seen, understood, and supported as you reconnect with yourself, navigate life’s challenges, and move toward the life you want to create.
Ripples of Change
The name Ripples of Change reflects my belief that meaningful change doesn’t have to happen all at once. Therapy is often about creating small moments of awareness, understanding, and intentional choice that can gradually lead to something bigger.
Together, we’ll explore the patterns, experiences, and relationships that have shaped you and how they may be influencing your life today. From there, we can begin identifying small, meaningful shifts that feel realistic and aligned with who you are.
Over time, those shifts can create a ripple effect—changing how you relate to yourself, your relationships, and the life you’re building.
